Katrinka — Tripp 48 Sloop

Designed by Bill Tripp Sr. as a SORC dominating, cruising club of America rule beater, built by Bristol Boat Company in Rhode Island. Won her class in the 1980 Newport Bermuda Race and achieved 1st Overall in the Marblehead to Halifax Race. Formerly owned by Talking Heads members Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz (1983-2007).

2008 Restoration by Brooklin Boat Yard

Complete restoration involving deck removal, interior gutting, and installation of closed-cell foam cores. Carbon fiber mast and boom by GMT Composites. 24 new deck prisms with stainless steel covers. Teak deck overlay.
